88th Infantry, State Color with Battle Honors. Nicknamed the "Cameron Light Guards" the 88th was composed of men primarily from Philadelphia and Berks Counties. Organized in September 1861. The color was retired from service December 18, 1863, when the regiment received new colors. Mustered out June 30, 1865.
