211th Infantry, State Color. Composed of recruits from more than ten western counties, the 211th was organized in mid-September 1864. The regiment received the state color sometime between the end of September and late November 1864. Sergeant William R. Moore was the color-bearer for most, if not all, of the regiment's time in service. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 2, 1865.
