3rd Heavy Artillery, (152nd Regiment), State Color. Composed of men from Philadelphia, Dauphin, Adams, Northumberland, Montour, Erie, York, and Berks counties, as well as men from the state of New Jersey, the 3rd PA Heavy Artillery was formed in the spring of 1863. However, different batteries were organized at different times, and were deployed to various different locations. The regiment was mustered out of service between July and November 1865.
