150th Infantry, National Color. Composed of men from Philadelphia, Crawford, McKean, and Union counties, the 150th was organized as a "Bucktail" regiment in September 1862 under Colonel Langhorne Wister. The regiment seems to have carried three national colors after the state color was captured at Gettysburg. There is no documentation about the one in the collection. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 21, 1865.

150th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Philadelphia, Crawford, McKean, and Union counties, the 150th was organized as a "Bucktail" regiment in September 1862 under Colonel Langhorne Wister. On October 21, 1862, the regiment received the state color. At Gettysburg July 1, 1863, the flag was captured by a mortally wounded North Carolina soldier, who requested it be presented to President Jefferson Davis. When Davis fled Richmond in April 1865, he took the flag with him. The 150th was mustered o
