129th Infantry, National Color. Composed of men from Schuylkill, Northampton, and Montgomery counties, the 129th was organized in August 1862. Led by Colonel Jacob G. Frick, the 129th succeeded in rescuing the temporarily captured flags from the enemy at Chancellorsville in the beginning of May, 1863. The 129th was mustered out of service on May 18.
