34th Infantry, (5th Reserves), Second State Color. The 5th Reserves was formed at Camp Curtin in June 1861, and was composed of men from Lycoming, Northumberland, Clearfield, Union, Centre, Bradford, Huntingdon, and Lancaster counties. The second flag was received in December 1863, and the regiment mustered out on June 11, 1864. The regiment's color-bearer was Corporal William Kohler of Company H.

The flag was retired in December 1863 when a new flag was received. The regiment mustered out on June 11, 1864. The regiment's color-bearer was Corporal William Kohler of Company H.
